Overview:
Over the many
years of being Christians we have derived the following statement of Faith
for our own lives and this ministry. Remember
not all Christians believe exactly the same way we do concerning Doctrine
and they are entitled to their beliefs. We as Brothers and Sisters
in Christ are not to be an offense to other
believers and the outside world doing all things with the Love of Christ.
In doing so this website offers links and
resources to others of like faith and to others that do not believe exactly
the same things as we do concerning some of
their doctrines, but it is our contention that the Lord has blessed
them as Christians and that they hold valuable resources and information
for the non-believer and the Christian alike. You will find New Evangelical
sites, sites that seem strict to us such as The Brethren,
and also Jewish sites etc. We are told to search (in prayer and supplication)
for the Truth that is in
the Word of God and gain understanding from it (or Wisdom) and that God
will give us understanding. To this end The Fountain Gateway's Ministry

Statement
of Faith: What we believe and practice.
Doctrines The Triune Godhead; Father, Son and Holy Spirit
We believe
in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing
in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The full
inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures
We believe
that Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the fully inspired &
living Word of God.
The Depravity
of humans
We believe
that humankind was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is
therefore lost, and only through regeneration
by the Holy Spirit and acceptance of Jesus Christ as our only Savior and
Redeemer (by faith) in asking for forgiveness of our sins, can salvation and spiritual life be obtained (Romans
3:23).
The Death
and resurrection of Jesus and His sacrifice for our sins
We believe
that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the
Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. He
died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further,
He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into Heaven, where at the right
hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our
High Priest and Advocate (Hebrews
9:6-15).
We are
made right with God through repentance of sin and belief in Jesus
We believe
that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only
ground for justification and salvation for
all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy
Spirit and thus become children of God (Romans
10:9-10).
The Holy
Spirit Indwells all Believers
We believe
that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ
and during this age to convict men; regenerate
the believing sinner; and indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service
(1Corinthians
6:19).
Satan
and Evil Spirits are at work in this world

Personal, immanent, visible return of Jesus
Christ
We believe in the personal and immanent coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that this Blessed Hope
has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer (1Thesselonians
4:13-18)

Brotherhood of Believers
We believe
that God formed us from the beginning to see people won to Christ and the
Kingdom of God. We believe that the World
is a major mission field for us to work in, even our neighborhood. God has called each and every believer to spread
the message of salvation and reach the lost with His Word. We want
to take away all stumbling blocks, except Jesus, in the presentation of
the Gospel.
